About Me
Tamara M. Cook has been involved with horses her whole life and has been a professional horse trainer for over 35 years. She specializes in Arabian Sport Horses and Driving Horses. She is currently a traveling trainer coming to your house to train your horse or give you a lesson on your own horse. She teaches beginners to show ring competitors. She has shown horses at the Arabian Nationals, Arabian Sport Horse Nationals, Canadian Arabian Nationals, Paint World and the FHANA Nationals Friesian Show. She works with all breeds from miniatures to Draft horses. She can start your driving horses and help tune them up and teach you how to drive. She is an experienced competitor in Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, In Hand classes, Trail classes, side saddle (English and Western) and Western classes. Tamara has multiple Nationally titled horses and Regional titles in the Arabian world and many high points in open shows. She can help both youth and mature rides learn more about their discipline or just basic horsemanship. She also judges horse shows.
Tamara Cook is a very knowledgeable horsewomen. She not only is an excellent Dressage Teacher but, is also very good at teaching other disciplines. I find her instruction very clear. If I don't understand something or have a question, she has the answer for me. I never leave a lesson confused.

Tamara has been an invaluable lifesaver for me in my horse journey! I was pretty new to horses when I met Tamara, and my horse knowledge has grown exponentially since working with her. With Tamara’s help, I have gained confidence not only in my ability to handle my horses, but also in managing their health and environment. Among many other things, she taught me how to body clip my miniature horses, achieve and maintain healthy weight and body condition for each of them, and prepare them for shows. Tamara trained my minis how to drive and has taught me to drive them, much to the delight of my kids! My young kids love Tamara and have become very involved with our horses with her help. Tamara quickly involved my kids and me in the local mini club, parades, shows, clinics, and other fun activities to do with our horses. She has become like family to us. I am so privileged to not only have had Tamara as a top-notch trainer, but also to be able to call her a dear family friend.

They went from naughty free-spirited to trained and playful. She takes the time to get to know each horse, and finds ways to work with their strengths and weaknesses. She works to educate me as well.
